There are a number of signs that your condenser is failing and these could include static on your car radio when the engine is running, but not when it’s idle; trouble at start-up due to damaged contact points caused by excessive sparking; and a backfiring or misfiring engine. fits a 9mm by 5mm hole
Quality Bosch product. Fits standard and 009 distributors on VW Beetle 1973 on and VW T2 Bays from 1973 to 1979. It has a square ‘bung’ shape and fits to the side of the distributor. Please check suitability before ordering. Its purpose in a coil ignition circuit is to reduce the spark at the contact points as they open – minimising burning and pitting of the points and so extending their lives.
